2013 Canadian Lifeboat Fundraiser

Great Success!!

2013CLIFundraiser1Fund Raiser takes in $1300 for worthy cause!

The fund raising event for the Steveston Life Boat Institute was held at the Buck & Ear Pub in Steveston on March 23rd, was a howling success. The well attended event featured a silent auction with many items donated from local companies. The bidding was lively and fun. John Horton, the famous marine artist and Captain of the life boat, generously gave a copy of his beautiful art collection book for an inpromptu live auction which Rick Easton, our Fraser Squadton commander, did a great job as auctioneer.

We would like to thank all those who attended and supported the the event with a personal "Thank you" extended from Captain John Horton.
Well done!

2012 Christmas

Saturday December 8th marked this years Christmas dinner and dance held at the Sundance Inn. A great time was had by more than sixty people. Members who walked away with a brand new Mustang Survival coat, a Sony bookshelf stereo system, a snowboard, guitar, or one of the many other fabulous gifts must have had an even more memorable event. I can't remember the total but I did get a photo of Keith counting his 50/50 win.

Once again we were entertained by Gypsy Maker, a one man entertainment force. Thank you to our barbie dolls - you know who you are . . . and should you try to forget - we have photos.

There were several awards presented or mentioned. Vidas Vitkus was awarded the Pleasure Bent award while Rick and Rose Easthom again won the fishing trophy (COME ON fishermen let's get some new names on this trophy!). Cindy Arbeau told us that Commander Rick Easthom and Jack Tang had been nominated and selected for the CSBC (Canadian Safe Boating Council) safe boating award. The presentation will be in Toronto in January.

Enjoy a few of the photos from this years dinner.

2011 Christmas Party

The annual Fraser Sqaudron Christmas Party was held on Dec 3, 2011 at the Sundowner Inn in Delta.

This little event of ours just keeps growing (in fun) and more people keep coming! We had the usual suspects of the Fraser Bridge but we also had members from White Rock and SurDel squadrons who came because they heard we put on a good party. We had at least two non-boaters in attendance because they heard we put on a good party. We also hosted one past Chief Commander and one Regional Training Officer.

Okay, we put on a good party
